About the Pool
We have a large main pool with a 3-4 foot shallow end and a deep end (9 feet) with a diving board. There is also a separately fenced in wading pool (1-2 feet deep) for little ones. A heater keeps the water at a comfortable temperature.
To ensure safety, lifeguards are always on duty at the main pool, except for during adult-only swim times.
Children must be at least 8 years old and able to pass a swim test to attend the pool unaccompanied.

Most of our members are neighbors who live near the pool. The pool is a great opportunity to connect with the community as well as a fun place to hang out with or without your kids! All members are invited to attend our season kick-off and season-ending pool parties!
Pool stockholders are guaranteed a membership. Annual members are accepted on a first come, first served basis, with precedence given to returning members. All are welcome to join!
Learn To Swim
We offer swim lessons at unbeatable prices. Group lessons are given in late July and August; each session runs two weeks. Private lessons are also available.
The Heather Downs Dolphins Swim Team is open for members and non-members, and provides a fun sport for kids from June to mid-July.
Cost is $90 for members and $125 for non-members.
The Heather Downs Community Pool has been a jewel of the neighborhood for over 50 years! The pool was established in 1961 with the subdivision of 60 houses mostly located on Heather St, Pinecrest Ave, and Laurel Ave, whose owners opted-in to hold 1/60th stock in the pool. The present owners of those same houses are the current stockholders.
The pool is located at the southeast corner of Heather St and Laurel Ave. Many people don’t even know it exists due to the privacy supplied by arbor vitae foliage!
The pool is a non-profit organization that depends heavily on the pool bard (whose members must be stockholders) and community members to keep it going! It is a wonderful resource for our community and a great place to get to know your neighbors.
